Authentic Lebanese Food – Karam Lebanese Deli and Catering
In 1986 a young, enthusiastic Tony Karam brought his family to the United States from his native country of Lebanon. Tony left behind several businesses he inherited from his beloved late father, with a dream to create something new He finally settled into the restaurant business in Portland.
Since that time, Tony, with his wife Emelin working beside him, introduced authentic Lebanese cuisine to countless patrons through their innovative and mouth-watering menu items. Their restaurant was rated “Best Lebanese Restaurant’ multiple times in The Oregonian and Willamette Week, and also rated the top Lebanese restaurant several times by City Search.
In 2010, Claude, Tony’s younger brother came on board, after 15 years as a commercial airline pilot, and introduced the idea of taking our authentic Lebanese food to the delis of local retailers.
In 2013, after growing the wholesale side of the business through countless demos and local farmers markets, the brothers reached a point where they needed a new facility – the current Karam Lebanese Deli. Also in 2013. Tony’s daughter Noel and her husband Abdo Azar, a distinguished French pastry chef, brought their elegant and innovative desserts to the Karam menu.
